Water softening equipment
Principle of softened water:
An ion exchange resin is a polymer with corresponding functional groups. In general, conventional sodium ion exchange resins carry a large amount of sodium ions.
When the content of calcium and magnesium ions in the water is high, the ion exchange resin can release sodium ions, and the functional groups can combine with calcium and magnesium ions, so that the content of calcium and magnesium ions in the water is reduced, and the hardness of the water is reduced. Hard water becomes soft water, which is the working process of softening water equipment.
When a large number of functional groups on the resin are combined with calcium and magnesium ions, the softening ability of the resin is reduced, and sodium chloride solution can be used to flow through the resin, at this time the sodium ion content in the solution is high, the functional groups will release calcium and magnesium ions and sodium ions combined, so that the resin recovers the exchange ability, this process is called "regeneration".
Due to the needs of actual work, the standard work flow of softened water equipment mainly includes:
Work (sometimes called water production), backwashing, salt absorption (regeneration), slow flushing (water injection), fast flushing five processes. All processes of different softened water equipment are very close, but due to the actual process or control needs, there may be some additional processes. Any sodium-ion exchange based softening water equipment is developed on the basis of these five processes (where fully automated softening water equipment adds to the brine reinjection process).
Scope of application:
Industrial boiler water refill and chemical process water. It is widely used in various industrial and civil softened water preparation, such as boiler water supply, heating and air conditioning system supplementary water, textile printing and dyeing, paper making, laundry, bathing, food processing, high-quality domestic water and other fields.
